1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Daniel Čepanko ("we", "us"), the operator of Pausiq. By using Pausiq you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights that consumer law gives you.

You must be at least 16 to use Pausiq. To buy Pausiq Pro you must be an adult, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

2. The service

Pausiq lets you open audio and video files, detect and remove pauses, edit clips on a timeline, add punch-in zooms and export the result. All of this happens in your browser on your device. We may improve, change or add features over time. If we remove a main feature of Pausiq Pro during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and get a refund for the unused part.

3. Trying Pausiq for free

You can open your files and use every editing and preview feature for free, without paying or signing up. Exporting edited files needs Pausiq Pro. Trying Pausiq never turns into a paid plan by itself.

4. Pausiq Pro

• Plans and prices. Pausiq Pro is available monthly or yearly at the prices shown before you buy, which include VAT where it applies.
• Who sells it. Lemon Squeezy sells Pausiq Pro as our reseller and merchant of record. You pay it, it charges any VAT and sends your invoice, and its terms of sale also apply to the purchase.
• Licence key. After buying, you receive a licence key by email. Enter it in Pausiq to unlock unlimited exports. A key is for one person and works on up to 3 browsers or devices at a time. Keep it private: anyone with your key can use your subscription.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period for the same length and price, and your payment method is charged, until you cancel. Before you buy, the checkout shows the price, the renewal period and how to cancel, and you receive a confirmation email with the same details. Before a yearly plan renews, you are reminded by email.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time through the link in your receipt or under Manage subscription in Pausiq. Pro then stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Price changes. If the price changes, you are told by email at least 30 days before your next renewal. The new price only applies from that renewal, and you can cancel before it.
• Refunds and withdrawal. See refunds and cancellation, including your 14-day right of withdrawal.

5. Your content

Everything you open in Pausiq and everything you export stays yours. We never receive your files and claim no rights in them. You are responsible for having the rights to the material you edit and publish.

6. Fair use

Please do not:

• use Pausiq to break the law or to infringe other people's rights;
• get around the licence check, or share one licence key among several people;
• publish, resell or rent out licence keys or access to Pausiq;
• copy, reuse, decompile or reverse engineer Pausiq's code, design or texts, or put Pausiq or a copy of it on another website, except where the law expressly allows it;
• attack, overload or try to break into the website.

If a licence key is clearly shared or abused, we may deactivate it after warning you where that is reasonable. If we deactivate a key without a serious breach on your side, you get a refund for the unused part of the period.

7. Our software

Pausiq, its code, design, texts and name belong to Daniel Čepanko and are protected by copyright. Using Pausiq in your browser gives you no right to copy them. Your subscription gives you a personal right to use Pausiq Pro while it is active. Open-source parts of Pausiq are covered by their own licenses, and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licenses give you. See open-source licenses.

8. Results and your files

Pausiq suggests cuts automatically, and automatic suggestions can be wrong. Always check the result before you publish it. Pausiq never changes your original files, but keep your originals until you are happy with the export. Pausiq does not save your projects, so export before you close the tab. How well Pausiq works also depends on your browser and device.

9. Availability

We work to keep Pausiq available but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Editing works in an open tab even if the website is briefly unreachable. Pausiq checks your licence key every few days, which needs an internet connection. If it cannot reach the licence server, Pro keeps working for up to 14 days after the last successful check.

10. Liability

We are fully liable for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if Pausiq does not work as described, are not affected.

Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Pausiq Pro in the 12 months before the event.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. For important changes we show a notice in Pausiq at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the changes apply and receive a refund for any unused paid period.

12. Where Pausiq is available

Pausiq can be used in most countries. Because of European Union and United States sanctions, it is not available in North Korea, Iran and Cuba, and access from these countries is blocked. It may also not be used in, or bought for use in, the Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, or the areas of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions that are not controlled by the Ukrainian government. You may not use Pausiq to get around these restrictions, for example through a VPN. Pausiq Pro cannot be bought by people or organisations under sanctions, and Lemon Squeezy may refuse an order for that reason. You are responsible for following the laws that apply where you use Pausiq.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country, and you can go to the courts where you live. Consumers outside the EU also keep every right their own country's consumer law gives them that cannot be waived. Please contact us first at support@pausiq.app; most problems can be solved quickly.
