Cookies and storage
Last updated 22 October 2026
Pausiq uses no cookies at all: no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, and no sign-in cookies, because there are no accounts. It loads nothing from other websites. It only keeps a few items in your own browser that the editor needs to work and to remember your settings. All of it is strictly necessary for the service you ask for, so the law does not require a consent banner.
What Pausiq stores in your browser
| Name | Type | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
pausiq-licence | Local storage | Keeps your Pausiq Pro licence key, a random name for this browser and the date of the last licence check, so Pro stays unlocked. | Until you remove the key in Pausiq or clear your browser data |
pausiq-onboarding-complete-v1 | Local storage | Remembers that you have closed the terms notice, so it is not shown again. | Until you clear your browser data |
pausiq-timeline-tips | Local storage | Remembers which timeline tips you have already tried. | Until you clear your browser data |
pausiq-punch-in-cuts | Local storage | Remembers your punch-in zoom amount and frequency. | Until you clear your browser data |
pausiq-reload-handover | Session storage | Marks a reload started from the update bar, so your project can reopen. | Removed as soon as the page reloads |
pausiq-local-projects | Browser database (IndexedDB) | Holds your open project for a few seconds during a reload from the update bar. | Deleted as soon as the project reopens, or the next time Pausiq starts |
None of this contains your media. Local storage and session storage stay in your browser and are never sent to us. Your licence key is only sent to Lemon Squeezy to check it.
Why there is no cookie banner
EU law (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, in Lithuania Article 61 of the Law on Electronic Communications) requires consent before storing information on your device, unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Everything above falls under that exception. If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.
Checkout
When you buy Pausiq Pro, the checkout of Lemon Squeezy may use its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Its cookie policy applies there.
Removing stored data
You can delete everything Pausiq stores at any time in your browser settings, for example in Chrome under Settings, Privacy and security, Site data. Pausiq will then show the terms notice again and use its default settings, and you will need to enter your licence key again.
